On December 13, 2022, the residence at 7 Illinois St. was rented out by a group of people to shoot a rap video and commemorate a past murder victim. At about 1030 pm at least 20 gunshots rang out inside the house from multiple guns. When the shooting ended, 5 people were shot, 24-year-old Jahkeem Douglas fatally. The only people who can bring answers to Jahkeems family are his friends who were inside the house that evening who know what happened.
