On July 4, 2021 at about 1:00 in the morning ,16-year old Keon Martin was sitting in the passenger seat of a car with his friend in the parking lot of RCSD School #34 located at 530 Lexington Ave. A lone suspect approached them on foot and suddenly began shooting at the vehicle. Martin was struck in the upper body and later died at the hospital.
