On August 16th, 2016, at about 6:30 a.m. Darius Burke-Wells was walking down Sherman St to Lyell Ave to catch a bus to work. Mr. Burke-Wells was confronted by the suspect(s) in front of 162 Sherman St and shot at close range. Investigators believe the shooter may have been driven to the area.

Darius had a baby on the way. His daughter's mom was 4 months pregnant when he was murdered. It's been five years since this tragedy. We are seeking closure for Darius' family and his daughter Dariana Burke-Wells who will be 5 years old.
