On November 1st, 2009 after area bars closed there were people congregating outside of Mark’s Texas Hots and Big Deal Pizza on Monroe Ave & Woodlawn St. A fight broke out and escalated when a the suspect pulled out a handgun, shooting and killing Michael Washington.
