On the afternoon of March 3rd, 1998, Carlos Colon was shot to death as he worked behind the counter of the store at 1184 N. Clinton Avenue. The register had been emptied of cash and it is believed that Mr. Colon was murdered during a robbery. A tip reported that two males were seen running from the area after the shooting and number of people were interviewed but this cse reamains unsolved.
