On May 21st, 1978, at about 12:30 AM, 49 year old Elizabeth Thompson began to walk home from her job at the Wegmans at Dewey and Driving Pk. Ave. As Ms. Thompson neared her home on Magee Ave., she was attacked and stabbed to death by an unknown assailant. Neighbors heard her screams and the suspect was seen fleeing from the area but he was never identified.
