On September 3, 2022, at about 8:30 pm 27-year-old Raymond Walls was shot and killed in front 427 Lyell Ave. Walls was hanging out with family members celebrating the recent death of a loved. The gunman approached from around the corner in an ambush style attack. Investigators and family believe the murder of Walls was retaliation for a previous incident.
