On August 27, 2022, at about 0511 hrs officers received a call for an unresponsive man on the sidewalk in the usually quiet Beechwood neighborhood on Cedarwood Ter. Officers arrived and found 24-year-old Christopher Sherman dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe Sherman was shot and killed where he was found. Why Sherman was murdered remains a mystery.
