On August 21, 2022, at approximately 1:49 am 29-year-old James Hallenbeck was taking one of his common late night walks near the Genesee River when he was shot and killed in an apparent robbery. James was a known musician in the Rochester music community. His was beloved by his friends and family, all of who and are pleading with individuals who have knowledge of the tragic events of August 21, 2022 to come forward.
