On April 5, 2008 at 5:25 am officers were dispatched to the corner of Fitzhugh & Adams St. for the report of a person down. When they arrived they found Wordell Lucas with severe trauma that ultimately caused his death. Investigators believe Lucas became involved in an altercation over possible stolen property prior to his death.
